How Does Family Mediation Work?
Here is a step by step guide to how my family mediation process works:
(*Please note that my services are available by Zoom as well for those living outside of the Greater Toronto Area)
(**Please also note that if you are working with a lawyer already and are coming into the mediation process, the steps below are slightly different. Please contact me for information.)
Step 1
I meet with both of you separately first
Step 2
The three of us meet together and begin the mediation sessions
Step 3
We work out all of the terms of settlement together
Step 4
I draft the final agreement and provide it to both of you
Step 5
You each obtain independent legal advice from your respective lawyers and sign the agreement with your lawyers
Step 6
You both keep a copy of the agreement with you
