help?<\/h1>\n<p>When it comes to separating or divorcing, there are four main legal issues which separating\/ divorcing couples need to think about. They are: property division, child support, spousal support and parenting. My job is to help a couple to negotiate these legal issues and put the final terms into a separation agreement. >Why choose family mediation instead of another process?<\/h1><div class=\"special-heading-border\"><div class=\"special-heading-inner-border\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><section class=\"font_8\">I find that different couples make different choices regarding how to separate or divorce. \u00a0Some couples work with a mediator, others each retain their own lawyers and negotiate, and others still start their process off in court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\">In general, family mediation is often the most affordable process for a couple that is separating or divorcing in a reasonably amicable way. \u00a0The reason that mediation is often the least expensive process is because most of the negotiating is done with the assistance of one professional (the mediator) only. \u00a0Therefore, there is a savings of legal fees. \u00a0I find that family mediation does the least harm to a separating\/divorcing couple&#8217;s relationship because the mediator is helping the couple to reach resolution, instead of helping them to fight amongst themselves.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
